When you register your school on e4e.in, we collect:

School Information: School name, address, contact details, number of students/staff
Administrator Details: Owner/Principal name, email, phone number, designation
Operational Data: Student records, staff records, fee transactions, attendance data, exam results — all entered by your authorized staff
Usage Data: Login timestamps, feature usage patterns, IP addresses for security auditing

2. How We Use Your Data

Service Delivery: To provide your school's dashboard, generate reports, process fee collections
Improvements: Aggregated, anonymized data helps us improve platform performance
Communication: Service updates, security alerts, and support responses
Legal Compliance: As required by Indian law (IT Act 2000, Data Protection regulations)

3. Data Protection & Security

We implement industry-leading security measures:

End-to-End Encryption: All data transmitted via HTTPS/TLS 1.3
Multi-Tenant Isolation: Each school's database is logically separated with unique encryption keys
Access Controls: Role-based permissions — only authorized staff can access your school's data

4. Data Retention

We retain your school's data as long as your account is active. Upon account closure:

Data is retained for 30 days (recovery window)
After 30 days, all data is permanently deleted from our servers
You can request data export anytime in CSV/Excel/PDF format

5. Third-Party Services

We use trusted third-party services for:

SMS notifications (delivery only — no student data shared)
Email delivery (transactional emails only)
Payment processing (fee collections via encrypted gateways)

All third parties are bound by strict data processing agreements.

6. Your Rights

Access: Export all your school's data anytime
Correction: Update or correct any data through your dashboard
Deletion: Request permanent deletion of your school's data
Portability: Receive your data in standard, machine-readable formats

7. Cookies

We use essential session cookies for authentication. No tracking cookies or third-party advertising cookies are used. You can disable cookies, but the platform may not function properly.

8. Children's Data

Our platform stores student data entered by school administrators. Schools are responsible for obtaining parental consent as per applicable laws. We do not directly collect data from children under 13.
